JobStart Philippines

Life skills, technical training and a paid internship for youth 18–24.

JobStart takes young Filipinos who are not in school or work through life-skills training, technical training with TESDA partners, and up to three months of paid internship with a partner company — a full bridge from school to a first job.

Who qualifies?

  • Filipino citizen aged 18 to 24
  • High school graduate or ALS completer; not currently in school
  • Not employed and without long work experience
  • Priority: 4Ps households and SPES alumni

Required documents

  • PSA birth certificate
  • Diploma, report card or ALS certificate
  • Barangay certificate of residency
  • One valid ID

How it works

  1. Pre-register for an open cohort here or at the PESO
  2. Screening interview at the PESO
  3. Life-skills training (10 days) then technical training
  4. Internship placement with a partner employer at ≥ 75% of the minimum wage
  5. JobStart certificate and job referral on completion
